Are Terminal Switches Necessary?

You can temporarily wrap the wires around the posts. As said I would not solder for fear of melting the plastic, Replacement clips are readily available and they cost next to nothing.

There is a good chance that the heat from your soldering iron/gun will melt the plastic surrounding those metal rods.

Good Morning,

I have a switch tower accessory that is missing terminal clips.  Can I just solder the wire directly to the metal beams in the bottom or are the terminal clips necessary for functionality/safety?  Thank you for your time.
