there should be to small pots on the board. 1 is for volume and 1 is for pitch. they look like tiny 45 records. 1st try turning both back and forth the full range and then set them to original opposition. then adjust sound volume 1st but not all the way up. then adjust the pitch as you blow the whistle/horn you should find a sound you like. also the speakers were rated 2 OHMS to 4 Ohms. also if it has the 2 inch speaker, make sure the paper cones is good. if it should have the wimpy pizieo electric speaker. well to bad. hope this helps.

recently purchased northern pacific pb-1 s gauge with railsounds,seems to have all functions,just sounds are not loud,vollume turned all way up,is from 1991 or 1992,has anyone else had this problem,thanks
