DIY Whistle Station Made EZ...
Posted by M. Mitchell Marmel on Saturday, June 21, 2014 10:04 PM

Here's how to make a Plasticville station into a whistling wonder!

1)  Front view, showing bright, shiny, candy like Lionel 90 button and Plasticville station.

2) Rear view, showing whistle unit (MTH, if I recall correctly) and 6-32 lugs with Lionel nuts.  Whistle unit is mounted to the top side of an Evergreen styrene floor previously installed.

3) Underside view, showing Radio Shack battery holder fastened to the floor and internal wiring (6VDC is just right for the little whistle motor) as well as an Evergreen patch on the underside of the station platform...

Press the button, it goes "Whoo whoo!"

Enjoy!

Mitch
