Silver Streak 1952
Posted by David Barker on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 6:57 PM

I began selling my collection to pay copays for my healthcare.  In November I was diagnosed with mesothelioma due to asbestos exposure in the Navy.  I put about everything I had on consignment with Market Street Hardware Toytown in Portsmouth Ohio.  That included my American Flyer 1952 Silver Streak.

So far we have met the copayments.  Friday I went into the store and saw my AF SS was  still on the shelf.  Not any more as I am  going to keep it.

My parents bought me the Silver Streak for Christmas.  It still has the original link couplers, horn, boxes for the cars and the cardboard wrapper for the engine!

A lot of trains are still on sale, so one set will not make much difference.

God bless you and keep you strong sir!  All my best to you!

And save that Silver Streak for that fine looking youngster in the photo.
