It would be a lot easier to help if you were more specific as to what problems you were having?

The place for MTH DCS is the O-Gauge Railroading Forum, browse the site and go to the DXCS and PS2-PS3 O Guage Forum

Because what fifedog said if its going to get real expensive and you want to keep that engine you might look at electric railroad product for tmcc now from what I understand mth system can run tmcc but not sure what else you need.

Just a thought. and if your going to go here to get it as its cheaper than most of the other ones selling it. http://www.mttponline.com/

There is so much wiring under the hood, that it makes it hard to trouble shoot.  Find the closest train repairman and prepare to pay for a new board.  My Proto-2 engines are giving up the ghosts too.

I have 2 protosound 2 /MTH units and am having trouble running them. Changed the batteries, followed the directions on engine directional unlock to no avail. One of the engines got very hot when left on the track with the power on. Any advice????
