Went to the Nashville train show Sat. 12/14.
I was amazed at how much the vendors were asking for the trains they had for sale. About twice as much as I have seen at auctions and E Bay. I don't know if they sold much, the only thing I bought were old copies of CTT for 50 cents apiece.
I saw stacks of Classic Toy Trains for free at the front entrance. I picked up a collection for myself. Prices were pretty high, but I buy $20 items, not $200 items.

Saw the stacks at the entrance, did not know they were free.
Some prices were high, but I got lots of hard-to-find parts (good old Sherman Leonard!). I also found a great number of items in need of just a little TLC. That's what I like--old stuff that can be resurrected, either for myself or for future sales. I find more fun now in repairing old stuff than I do in actually running the trains.

John,
We Tennessee Lionel enthusiasts are lucky to have Sherman Leonard, aren't we? Whether it is a .25 part or a rebuilt ZW transformer(he is where I got my ZW), he will have it. He had a 700e Hudson with him Saturday, I could not believe the size of it.
I bought a 6025 black Gulf tank car for $10, my big purchase of the day. I picked up 24 copies of CTT for free, that made the trip worthwhile.
By any chance did any of you see any MTH L&N Railking Madisons ? If so do you recall who had them (dealer name, etc) ? I'm starting to look for some.
Remember the Veterans. Past, present and future.
