Thanks Doc:

Greenberg's is on its way to me as we speak.

BTW, I rewired and rewound the coil on a 3469 coal car and it darn near launches stuff across the room now.

Could'nt lift the pan when I found it.

Gonna like my new winter hobby

The [}:)] Doctor is In !!! My advice is you should get Greenburg's Guide to Lionel Trains
1945-1969. The 10th Anniversary ed.(my copy) has a chapter #XII which covers trucks. That is the place to look. I find that Greenburg's books to be the books to have if you
are going to get into Lionel !.

Lionel Wheel Trucks

Greetings all:

I have recently started refurbishing my uncles' postwar train set.
I will be illuminating some cabooses as part of my salvage effort.

Can some kind soul point me to a definitive source for descriptions of the various types of Lionel wheel trucks? Specifically the difference between AAR, Stapled, Bar-end, Arched, ETC ? ? ? ?

The info I've found (cd's, web, etc) seem to be missing a lot of early to mid postwar info.

Looking forward to gleaning many good pointers.
