Boston and Maine Modern Era Starter Set?
Posted by jscola30 on Monday, November 25, 2013 11:59 PM

I had my heart set on getting a post war small Hudson, one time I did pass over at the Greenburg Show was a modern era Boston and Maine starter set. I remember it had an LL Bean Boxcar, and a B&M bulkhead flat car and caboose. The steam engine was the small switcher type: probably a 4-4-2/0-4-0-/2-4-0/2-4-2; it had regular O27 track and the box probably dated it, late 90s/early 2000s before Fasttrack. Does anyone know anything else about this? How common is it? Was it a promotional set (maybe for LL Bean)?

Lionel set 31920 was made in 2001.

Here is the Owner's Manual for the set.

They sell for $75-$160 on eBay in like new to new condition.
