It is so great to see people looking onto this sight. During the holiday, one of my favorite past times with my dad was going to the hazlet train stop. My dad new some of the guys boyd new from the town of matawan and it was just great going and seeing all the new TYCO trains during the holidays.
there was no toy store that ever compared to it. That museum in the back was the best. You could push the buttons and the bear would come out and rocket crane would move.
Just awesome.
I also do remember that they tried to open a store in woodbridge mall but too high of rent and just I think not the right store just ate up a lot of money. That store was a gem. As we all say good things don't last forever.
I found a couple of tyco catalogs from there with the stamps on them. They are still in great shape.
they don't make car sets like that anymore. Tyco Night glo. wow.
I lived just outside Matawan in Morganville NJ.
I moved to Fla. in 78 which is about the time the store closed I understand.
