fI don't know if it's permitted to give "plugs" on the Forum, if it's not and the topic gets deleted I won't get mad, so here goes...
I just got back from a trip to the Fort Meyers Florida area and visited a fine train shop there. Actually, it's a full service hobby shop but heavy on the trains, O Gauge and HO, with a bit of N Gauge thrown in.
It's called "Awesome Trains and Hobbies", and I had a fine time there several days ago. As an O Gauger I was impressed with the assortment of Lionel articles, AND they've got a pretty good assortment (less one now) of out-of-production K-Line products there as well. The gent on staff at the time was very personable and couldn't have been more helpful. Prices were VERY reasonable, and as a result I left with the wallet a bit thinner than it was when I went in. Hey, it's MY fault, I knew what I was getting into!
I'll tell you, this is something that was needed in that area, Fort Meyers was a toy train desert. Any toy train enthusiast who lives around there should definately make the trip!

PS: I bought a nice Lionel post-war 2018 2-6-4 there to replace the one I gave to my (then) 11 year old nephew. It was the right thing to do, and you should have seen how his face lit up when I did it, BUT, I still miss the thing! Ah, the E-unit buzz, the gear noise, the smoke pellet smell, you know what I mean...
PPS: I just ran the 2018, it runs great, just as I knew it would! Post-war tough!
