I've always prefered the equally monstrous but slightly less powerful SD-80MAC(4000 HP) over the 6000HP SD-90MAC. I guess maybe my bias is because the far superior eastern roads used SD-80s :), as well as the fact that I got a very good price on a Lionel scale SD-80 :) :) :).

Still a very nice looking engine that you have there, though, Jon.

Hey Ben! Yep the SD-80 is a massive diesel as well. What road name did you get it in?

I got a good deal on mine because the owner had stripped it and partially repainted it to Southern Pacific. I have the paint and decals to restore it to its original Conrail colors, but haven't gotten around to doing it yet.

Ben-- the SD80MAC is 5000 hp, not 4000 :) still a brute though[8D]
