Ward Kimball's Toy Trains to be Auctioned!

As the editor of the Carolwood Chronicle, the official journal of the Carolwood Pacific Historical Society (a group trying to preserve Walt Disney’s railroad legacy), I thought I should pass this on to you:

Ward Kimball’s toy train collection, per his wishes, is set to be auctioned off in the coming months so that other toy train afficionados can continue to enjoy these treasures. There will be 800 lots. The first of two auctions will be held on November 19-20, 2004, at the Ramada Hotel near the Philadelphia International Airport (610) 521-9600. The second auction will be held on May 27-28, 2005. It will be conducted by Noel Barrett Auctions. A full-color catalog is available for $45, and includes two tickets to the preview on Nov. 18, and admission to the sale beginning Friday the 19th at 6:00 pm. The entire contents of the catalog will be posted at www.noelbarrett.com two to three weeks before the auction. You can contact the auctioneers at: toys@noelbarrett.com.

Happy bidding!
