I think this may be Loewy's last locomotive design, years after his death:

File:Union Pacific 4141.jpg

It's his design for Air Force 1, applied to a Union Pacfic locomotive to honor George H. W. Bush (the 41st president).

Great picture on Google's search page today:

Somewhere in the great beyond Capitaine Loewy is looking at that and thinking "How can I improve it?"

As his book title said, "Never Leave Well Enough Alone".

Happy Birthday mon Capitaine!

I'd have to say, I've seen many doodles, but this is my all time favorite. Could have had smoke, though. But we can't have everything, and they did an impressive job of fitting the word "Google" into a picture of  a streamlined steam engine.

.. well ..

Guess , you have to be a BigBike freak to know what's what on this ..

.. uhm ..

.. thing .

" .. looking for adventure

in whatever comes our way .. "

yes , that seems more like it

.. or ..

is it rather remotely related to

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEHsIcsjtdI

..?  ( especially the recital about the end at the end of the song )

Well , if that's so then that's the end

( there's also a version by Velvet Underground & Nico ,

I'll leave it to you to decide which one is more morbid - they don't really give or take too much )

That could be Raymond Loewy on Steroids....!  Loved almost all he did.

{Referring to the photo by Spanky, of course}.....

Hi Juniatha!

Well, I see you're back and found your way over here to the "Classic Toy Trains"  Forum!  You should stick around for awhile and do some exploring, it's FUN over here!  Lots of things to see, but be careful!  YOU might catch the "Toy Train Disease"  which is a life-long affliction for which there is no cure.

Look at me, here I am watching the Lionels and others circling the Christmas tree and laughing like a fiend while I do it.  But then, I'm easily amused anyway.   New Years Eve I may just set my MTH Class J up on the deck with the volume turned up to the max and at midnight, look out!  People will think the "Powhatan Arrow's" coming through the neighborhood.
