Looking for a late 80's/early 90's train set?

Hi all,

This has been bugging me for a while, but in the early 90s my father bought me a train set for Christmas. Unfortunately who knows what happened to it since then, but I was hoping some of you might have an idea of what model of train set it was.

I have no idea who made it, just that it was made out of metal and plastic, and that the track was mostly flat however except for one turn which went vertical (meant to be placed against the wall I believe) for a tiny bit then curved back down the wall and went flat again. I believe it was an electric train set. The vertical curve in the track is the thing I remember the most.

I know this is a long shot, but that is all I can remember about this set and would love to find some information on it.

Thanks!

Sounds like you may have had one of the Tyco Turbo Train outfits.
