Posted by daves92camaro on Saturday, October 26, 2013 4:39 PM

I really think something is up with the tender i just dont know what.....I have a prr railking rugged rails 2-8-0 with locosounds....the engine works great...if the tender doesnt touch the rails....if the tender is on the rails i get nothing but static and the engine doesnt move....cleaned the wheels roller pickups on the engine..the track and im running it with the shell off but i dont see anything out of the ordinary

Sounds like some sort of short in the tender, possibly in the power supply board.. Does the light on the loco come on when the tender is on the track?

Sounds like something on one of the boards is grounding where it should not since you are insulating the chassis from ground by putting the cardboard in between the chassis and the trucks.

I see you like Camaros as indicated by , "Daves92Camaro". Cars are another of my interests. Here is a picture of my 68. It ran low 9s in the 1/4 on motor with a 632 in it.

 That's very nice.

I used mine strictly for drag racing and did not drive it on the street. Got great mileage too, about 8 gallons to the mile.....Big Smile
