Lionel 12983 (345) CulvertUnloader Internal Wiring Diagram

Does anyone know where I might be able to get an internal wiring diagram for the Lionel 12983 (345) Culvert Unloader?  I have asked Lionel and they told me they had no wiring diagram.  Hard to believe.  I need to do some repairs "under the hood" of the culvert unloader and need a wiring diagram to ensure that the repairs are done correctly.  Can anyone help?  Thanks

I can't point you to the exact one, unfortunately(sorry, but don't have time to browse them right now), but I seem to recall this might be in one of the Service Supplements Lionel has on their Website.

These are old fashioned image PDFs(I'm pretty sure), so when you search the Lionel site for the culvert loader, they do not come up.  It's probably in one of the last 10 or maybe dozen files, since the earlier ones are MPC.  I'd start at 47 and make my way back as opposed to starting at 1-9 and moving up.

The closest service manual to find is in Supplement 44, starting at page 14-1 for the #12982 version. Hopefully this can be a starting point for you.

Thanks Dave.  I did start at 47 and worked backwards per your suggestion but only found the 12982 Culvert Loader which was in Supplement #44 as Larry suggested in a later response to my query.  It doesn't look like there is a supplement covering the 12983 culvert unloader.

Thanks Larry.  Supplement 44 was a good place to start but could only find the 12982 culvert loader there and nothing for the 12983 culvert unloader in any supplements before or after #44.  Thanks for your help.

Another thought:

While it's from a newer model, there is a diagram on Lionel's site for a more recent conventional unloader.

It's hard to say if things may have changed from the 12983 to this one, but it might help you get a "feel" for how these things are done, even if not wire for wire accurate.

(I also noted an addendum on the site related to wiring the newer units, seems A and U are critical for the newer ones)
