A short video showing some of the highlights of the September issue has been posted here. Senior Editor Kent Johnson wrote (and photographed) the cover story, showing how he built a compact city scene on his home layout. The issue also features visits three great O and S gauge layouts, contains wiring tips from veteran layout builder Stan Trzoniec, and takes a look at the Lionel sets from the late 1950s that promised the most fun. The issue is mailing to subscribers now and will be on newsstands the first week of August.
