Tim

I have the 2 car and 5 car Amtrak sets. When I first read your question though, I thought you had mis-typed the set number for the 2 car set. (20-6508). So I went and pulled my 2 car set out and sure enough the box is marked 20-6508. My 2 car set has the same cars as yours, 8555 diner and Pacific Forum sleeper. Then I looked at the 5 car set and it was also marked 20-6508. [%-)]
Checking the 1997 MTH catalog, the 5 car set is listed as 20-6508 and the 2 car set is listed as 20-6608. All that I can surmise is that the 2 car set box is mislabeled [:O]
I hadn't noticed that before.

Hey, who knows? Maybe we have a genuine factory error that's worth a lot of moola! NOT! [;)]

Enjoy the trains!

Help with MTH 70' Scale Aluminum Sleeper/Diner MT-6508

I have just purchased this item mt-6508. It is a 2 car add on for Amtrak. Since I dont have many old MTH catalogs I am trying to find out which passenger set this was an add on to. The best I can find on the MTH web site is MT20-6508 which is a 5 car aluminum 18" amtrak set. Could some of you help if you have these cars? The ones I purchased are very nice(new). I would like to find the other cars that match. One of the cars is 8555 and the other says Pacific Forum. Thanks in advance....Tim
