Track Wars: Is MTH ScaleTrax biting the dust?

[?][?][?][?][?][?][?][?][?][?][?][?][?]
I was purchasing some much needed items for my trains, (Mrs. Buckeye is still laughing[:D][:D]) from my favorite store, Davis Trains in Cincinnati, Ohio and was looking at the web pages and clicked on their featured items sections where they sometimes list some great deals. This is what I found:

Davis Item #: 26483
SKU: 45-1001
Product Name: ScaleTrax - 10" Straight Section
Davis Price: $2.15
M.S.R.P.: $3.25
Feature Product:
Gauge: O
Category: Track & Switches
Road Name:
Manufacturer: MTH (CLOSEOUT)
Last Updated: 9/24/2004 8:04:50 AM
Product Description: ScaleTrax - 10" Straight Section

There were several pieces of ScaleTrax marked closeout. Has anyone else seen this? [?][?][?][?][?][?] Is ScaleTrax biting the dust? [:0][:0][:0] I have never heard anyone on this forum talk about using ScaleTrax. I don't. I use RealTrax and have liked it very much.

Inquiring minds want to know. [;)][:0][^]

I think too many people have RealTrax for it to bite the dust--at least for now.

But ScaleTrax should give them a run for their money.

I don't think MTH is discontinuing it. It may be that your store has decided to stop carrying it. Ask them.
