Hey, who knows? I think he donates more money to charity than I think Lionel would probably cost him. But Mr. Gates is shrewd with his money. His software may s*ck, but he's careful with the moola. Lionel would probably be very unappealing to him.

I am a person with a very active inner child. This is why my wife loves me so. Willoughby, Ohio - the home of the CP & E RR. OTTS Founder www.spankybird.shutterfly.com

Bill Gates was a major investor in the Wisconsin Central R.R. When CN merged with WC, Mr. Gates's stock was converted to CN. By the way, CN also owns the former IC which makes it a MAJOR railroad all across NORTH AMERICA. All the way to the Gulf of Mexico.

Interesting news. Bill enjoys riding trains. Private coaches, of course.

CN is a great American RR, btw, last time I looked, Canada was in America [;)]

Just read this off of MSN, where they have a link to a story about the Forbed 400 Wealthiest list that was just published.

Bill Gates has been selling 20 million shares a year in Microsoft & then investing in other companies. Including CN.

No, the world isn't suddenly brighter & no closer to stop spinning, but I found it curious that the world's wealthiest man holds a stake in a railroad. Too bad it's not an American railroad...
