phillyreadingI am not sure if that set would bring decent money if you were to sell it, because of having Pike Master track. Pike Master from what I have seen of it is a smaller size curve then the 42 inch curve normally associated with American Flyer two rail track, also the plastic roadbed falls off very easy. The engine with a 21165 number is probally a 4-4-2 pacific style locomotive, and has Reading Lines on the tender. I am not sure what S gauge collectors may have to say about the set's value.
I have figured out what is wrong with my brain! On the left side nothing works right, and on the right side there is nothing left!
Just "Special Train Set No. 1" (1963) 21165 locomotive and tender, 25082, 24125 with rails, 24636, and track.

Thanks Bob....my friend just informed me the box actually says 20251....does the book say anything about that?
Thanks,
Trevor
The long out of print Greenberg's Guide to American Flyer S Gauge Vol. II cited a 21160 locomotive and tender, 24410, 24420, and 24610 cars; and track.
Interesting, what did the reference list for the correct contents?
The only reference I found for the 20151 was that it was a special Simmons set from 1958 - but none of the equipment numbers match what you listed.
Hi guys,
It's been a while since I've been on here, but I'm back. Does anyone have a Flyer set no. 20151, or maybe seen one? It has a 21165 steamer, 24124 gondola, c2001 hayjector, a 24636 caboose, and a loop of pikemaster track. I know it's uncatalogued, but I can't find out any info on it. I'd like to know maybe who sold it and whether the set is significant or not.
