This is part of a UP anniversay train the lighting consists of a series of small lamps across the ceiling.  The audio board went out which I replaced but I'm concerning about the wiring as the red leads go to ground and the black go to the roller pickups.

If you're referring to the 2435, the two number-51 lamps are wired in series.  A wire goes from the pickup to one terminal of the lamp socket with two terminals, another wire from the other terminal to the terminal of the other lamp socket.  The second is returned to the frame (no wire).

You don't need a diagram. Each wire from each roller goes straight to the bulbs.
