Running trains, making them do neat "tricks" that make them almost real, operating accessories. Witht he new DCS and PS2, I get the engine sounds and I have learned to program the second engine to make the "clicky clack". So, I get the diesel sounds [engine changing pictch as it labors or revs higher] and the clicky clak of the rail joints all in one. [:D]

I know different varients of this thread have kicked around this forum before - and I think the real answer is 'it depends' but as I was working on the layout, I realized I really like the 'smell' of ozone, the buzz of an e-unit, and the 'roar' of the train around track unmuffled by roadbed. More than accessories, scenery, prototype fidelity, railsounds and lights. What about you? Is it the creative part of scenicking a layout, mirroring a prototype, mimicking real operations, or what-have-you?
