Hi Guys,
I am running my new (to me) 1990 Lionel 700e yesterday for the first time, and although the sounds and whistle work as they should, once I hit the bell button, the bell stays on. Hitting it again doesn't stop it. A break in power will stop it, like during a direction change, but that's it. I'm running off of a ZW. BTW, should I have a fast acting fuse or breaker in line to protect the electronics? The ZW breaker is pretty slow to react. Melt the wires into the carpet slow. (Don't ask how I know. Amazingly it happened last year, and my wife just noticed it yesterday!)
Thanks,
John
John,
Yes a fast acting breaker will protect your carpet but you need these to protect you train, TVS attach it between the two sides of the track lockon.

My bell will act the same way it times. I find it I hit the botton too fast it will not shut off.
