Have you adjusted the motor mounting screws? The motor is mounted with two screws. They should be tightened evenly, and not so tight that they impair the motion of the motor. I would suggest that you first try backing them off about an eight of a turn, and see if this helps any.

Hello to All [:)]

Help!! I have just restored a 726 Berkshire that I picked up in an auction a couple of years ago. It was a real basket case and required a lot of loving care. Everything worked out great until I gave it a test run. If I only ran backwards I would have a real sweet running engine. However, running it forward results in sluggishness, slow speed and very hot motor brushes. I tried raising the height on the drive rod to angle it differently but it didn't seem to help. If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it. I'd hate to have to leave it as a shelf unit.

Thanks,
Wayne R. Smith
