QS-1 and QS-2 Sound Systems
Posted by SOU1401 on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 3:23 PM

Who is providing upgrades and servicing these old sound systems.  I have had both since the early 1990's.  They still work great and they are using the original batteries.  I could not find any useful information on QS Industries web site.  Thanks

Been along time since I have heard about those systems.  There use to be a guy who monitored this forum who sold them.  Maybe he will drop by and give you some help.  Also, try posting question on OGR and Model Train Journal forums.  He may be on those.  Good luck.

I have QSI installed in my Williams Crown Edition diesel engines and it don't use a battery, are you sure you don't mean PS-1 or PS-2 by MTH? MTH uses a battery in PS-1&2.

The sound systems are QS-1 and QS-2 and they were custom installed by the individual in what ever loco you wanted.  Yes, they do use batteries and they were a few years before your Williams and MTH sound systems.
