Went to a local train show today and I am hooked and want to get started. Any suggestions for a Lionel HO Gauge starter set?
Thanks
They don't make HO anymore, its either O or G.

I'm moving your thread to the CTT forum. A lot of the Lionel guys are over there and can better assist you.

Yes, Like he said. Lionel has not made HO scale since 1978, and even then it was not really Lionel as they had sold the HO line to General Mills who call the manufacturing of them "Fundimensions".
We can make suggestions for HO sets, or Lionel sets. I've purchased both in the last few years.
Actually they did make some HO back around 8 years ago. But they weren't sets, and were very high-end: Big Boys and Challengers and such.
Go with "O". You won't be as frustrated.

I was aware MTH did but wasn't aware Lionel did also.
You still can get Lionel HO sets on ebay but depending on wheather its general mils or back in the 60's lionel will determine the price GM about $70 to $100 maybe a little less Lionel ( 1950 - 1960)if in original box most of them I've seen start around $200 and go up
Life's hard, even harder if your stupid John Wayne
