Help with my PPR MTH Priemere needed
Posted by jonadel on Sunday, December 2, 2012 4:55 PM

I've had this engine for a few years, it's an MTH Premiere PS 2 and has always been a good runner plus the details are excellent, in my opinion.  The issue is that the following 2nd engines wheels will not turn, it's as if they are frozen.  I've checked the lubrication and it's fine and I have tried running in both directions, no luck.  The engine's wheels that do work just push it along haltingly, not a good thing.  I'd like to do a reset but I'm not quite sure on how to proceed.

I do use DCS and two Z4000's and the power to the track is where it should be.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!  If all else fails I will send it in to an authorized repair shop but I thought I'd check here first.

Thanks.

Jon

Jon,

Sounds like a bad slave board from those details.  I'd take it to an authorized service center just to be sure.

Jon,

Have you checked to see if there might be a bit of debris jammed into the drive gears ?

Is this a wireless tether or hardwired ? If it's the anaconda tether try dis-connecting, check pins then reinstall.

Since it is PS-2, have you checked the battery or batteries since it is two engines? If you are using DCS check to see if the engines are added in correctly on the handheld remote, you may have to delete then re-add the engines on the handheld remote.
