I posted this about a week or more ago.  The thread mysteriously vanished.

I'm really enjoying these new cars I acquired from the Northern Michigan Model RR Club.  I enjoy all things Michigan!

Great video - love your layout, too Charlie.  That station was hand crafted by Kurt, who used to post on this site, too - he also did a great job.  The pic is excellent, your scenery is really starting to fill in nicely Thumbs UpThumbs Up

RIP Chewy - best dog I ever had.

I deleted your posting as a pretty thinly disguised ad - and said in the notification to you that if you wanted to sell them, send me a hi-res digital file with ordering information and that I would put it in product news.

Charlie likes and promotes any Michigan RR. And while it's true we do know the club that's selling these cars we have no financial gain in their fund raisers. I'm sure Charlie will tell the club of your offer...jim

Not an ad, I don't even belong to the club selling the cars.  I just appreciate their Michigan offerings.

Bob, I checked for an IM, nor did I receive email from you.   I removed the video since it has been perceived as an ad by you.

When a posting is deleted, the moderator has an option of sending an e-mail about it or not. I checked it to send one and wrote one to you explaining why it was deleted. if you didn't receive it, it is just another bug I'll report to on-line publishing about the forum software.

Hi,

Where are you located?  I live in Negaunee, and am not aware of any other railroaders in the area.  I wouldn't mind socializing with some other hobbyists.  Anyone in the area, let me know.

I work in the iron mines here, and the company has it's own railroad, the LS&I (Lake Superior and Ishpeming) to run pellets to the loading docks on the lake.  I've thought about contacting the railroad head about looking into an LS&I outfit from Lionel or MTH, as I think they would sell out the minmum run (500?) locally no problem.

I like that paint scheme. It would be fun to see more of your layout, Charlie.

John,

Recently at my prodding, RMT ran LS&I ore cars.  I even had a custom Alligator painted to pull them.

I'm located downstate outside Detroit.  Have family in Rockland though.

Charlie,

I love those cars!  Does RMT still produce them, or was it a one time deal?  I'm gonna have to find me a set.  I'm originally from Covington, about 50 miles from Rockland.  Last time I was up in that area was 2008, working on a rebuild at Victoria Dam hydro plant.  If you're ever up in the area, please let me know.  Maybe we could meet up and talk.

John,

I stayed up in Ontonagon on the lake for a week this past summer, I do get up that way now and then.  The LS&I cars are now sold out with RMT.  You may be able to find a set around somewhere though.  If you strike out let me know.  I might be able to help.

Drop me a note anytime at the email in my profile.
