6464-650 Rio Grande box car

I have a 6464-650 Rio Grande box car that has one side yellow and the other side and the sides by the couplers in a very light yellow color. I was told that some of these boxcars came fully molded in this "buttercup"  light yellow color instead of the normal yellow. Is it possible that I have some kind of error or is it just faded?
