The wife and I would like to visit a few train layouts over the holidays. We are located in Fl and would like to travel up the east coast or Tn, Georgia area, Any suggestions?
thanx, Ed
In the Baltimore area during the holidays there are about 6 outstanding layouts. A few I know of are at the shops at Keniworth, in Towson Md. Wise Avenue Fire station in Dundalk, MD. Jarrettsville Fire Station, Jarretsville, MD. There are more but I do not recall them.
Dundalk features MTH trains since they are only about 30 miles away in Columbia MD. Kenilworth also features O scale trains. Jarrettsville has multiple scales represented to include G, O, S on separate layouts
If you find your way into Michigan, you can take in a classic movie and view the train layout I will be building at the end of November at the Historic Redford Theatre in Detroit. It's a totally restored 1927 neighborhood movie theater, complete with it's original Barton Theater pipe organ.

If your in the north Georgia Area you need to see Misty Mountain located in Blairsville, Georgia. Here is a link to there web site. It is and outstanding layout and the money to get in goes to the local charity in the area.

Thank you, we will be sure this will be on our list, ED
Too bad your trip doesn't include Cincinnati, where two great layouts are located, one S and one G.

Problem all of them as anywhere are not really avertised other than maybe in local paper a couple of days to a week ahead of time.

It's a TOY, A child's PLAYTHING!!! (Woody from Toy Story)
Ogelby Park in Wheeling WVa has a beautiful years round O Gauge display, Pittsburgh also has a year round HUGE O Gauge display at The Carnegie Science Center. And Lou Palumbo opens his O Gauge Layout at holiday time at his Underground RR Shop.
I forgot about Smokey Mountain Trains at Bryson, NC. (Just south of the NC-TN border.)
To all,
The Eitljorg Museum in Indianapolis has a nice G Gauge layout that is open from around the first of November to some time in January. Each year I believe they add on more items.
Keep on training,
