You can replace the smoke resistors, they're 8 ohm wirewound resistors.  The whole circuit board has never been available, at least I've never seen one or found any dealers that have them.

Are you sure the resistors are bad?  That's a pretty unusual failure.

do you have a photo of the part? I have a lot of electronics from remove from 3 rail engines when they were converted to 2 rail. May have what you need.

I am in need of the circuit board part of a MTH smoke unit is there anyone who knows where this part can be purchased. It appears MTH only sells the smoke unit as a whole. If it is possible to replace the heat elements myself would be ok too.
