I have a 2454 Lionel Pennsy Baby Ruth Boxcar that I have obtained just recently. After doing some research, I realized that my car has a very odd difference.
It has two sets of two dots on each side of the car, each toward the end with the brake wheel. Any info about this?

I could not find anything noted in the David Doyle book about dots on that car.

Do you have any pictures? That might help a little.

It's not the car I have, but it's all that I could put up. Ran into too many problems.
Just try to imagine it having some dots on one side to the top left of the "enjoy" on the neighboring panel, and it having the dots on the other side of the car overlapping the ladder on the right above the top rung. One in the ladder, and one just to the outside. Sorry I can't provide any more information or if I didn't give clear enough information. They seem to be there for a reason, as if they were stamped on, but they have a real sheen to them. The dot that goes to the inside of each pair of dots is facing the doors. If I can get my photos of MY car on, I'll post those as well.
