I recently purchased a Lionel Northern Pacific High Dome Set #19166 built in 1997 I trying to check the authenticity of the set because two of the cars in the set are identical. NP High Dome #'s 19167, and 19168 are exactly the same except for the Lionel stock number. They are both high dome pullman coaches and they have the same road number #2571 which they also share with #19170 (however 19170 has marker lights "EOT"). The remaining car 19169 is a diner and has a different number. My question is how can I tell the difference between 19167 and 19168? What should I look for? I have several Lionel reference books but neither offer any help. Thanks zyaal8r
zyaal8r,
From what I see in the Standard catalog of Lionel Trains 1970-2000 by Justin Moen it looks as if your set is correct.

Thanks
I do have that same book, however the information regarding the individual pieces of this set is vague. I was hoping to hear from someone who actually has the same set who could help identify one car from the other. Thanks again.
