Here and there in Model Railroader I have seen box cars named "SUE LINE" instead of "SOO LINE". How about Lionel or MTH make a series of cars with names that are a parody of the real names? Here are a few names I can think of:
SUE LINE
BURLINGTON NOWHERE
SANTA CLAUS (F3 Warbonnet scheem)
Modeling the "Fargo Area Rapid Transit" in O scale 3 rail.
Some food-oriented ones: Onion Pacific, Crisco, Grape Northern, Spamtrak
Bob Nelson
It's doubtful that there'd be enough market support for it, but they may do special runs if the idea is funny enough.
It's also fun to try and see what words you get if you spell railroad names backwards. For example Santa Fe becomes Ef atnas. Then theres the Notgnilrub, the Larceny Kroy Wen, the Kartma and even the Daor Etalp Lekin. : )

Trains, trains, wonderful trains. The more you get, the more you toot!
You mean like the Bipolar Express?

with freight cars like Venice Gondola, Hobo Rest Boxcar, Everful Tank & Eagle Eye Caboose, could this roadname have been given a better name than The Joy Line?
I know Lionel has their Halloween trains (Transylvania RR, Eerie, etc).
Might be fun to do a car like this:
-MMM-
N-Gaugers have been doing "gag" cars for years, such as "Burppo Beer" and the legendary but rarely seen "Fartzenhow Bean Company". No reason "O" gauge cars in the same vein wouldn't sell.
Well I forgot my very own post from 1-2 years ago for the Fargo Area Rapid Transit. You can spell that one out in your head,,,, I wont' do that on here.
Doesn't MTH already do that w/ many of the Railking buildings?
11th Street Doesn't MTH already do that w/ many of the Railking buildings?
Yes they do, too many to quote here, but I think the issue being discussed is strictly rolling stock "gag" items.
