This is probably the ultimate in late responses, but I just saw this while doing research for my website, www.americanflyerdisplays.org.   The issue of Classic Toy Trains that you want is the July 95 issue at page 59.   "Recreating an S Gauge Masterpiece" was written by Mike Kolosseus.   You will probably also find my website of interest for the information on other displays.

Hello,
I have a copy of Classic Toy Trains, November 1993, of the Bob James American flyer window display.
I understand that Classic Toy Trains did a follw up story a couple of years later on a guy who built the same display.
Does anyone know what year and issue it is?
