Anyone have or know where I can view a wiring diagram for a DT&I 8111 with the two position E-unit? I am thinking it would be the same as an ALCO 8020 so that too should work. Thanks.

RT, I have found the parts supplement but nothing comes up for repairs on the 8111 or the 8010
Tks
There is no wiring diagram. Supplement 1, page 41 has the parts breakdown but that's all.

You are correct sulafool I have already seen that.
BoxcarBill Is that ALCO 200 series wiring the same as the modern 8111? if so Thanks!!

I pulled the trigger to soon, I don't think it is right.

Humm, OOOOOOOkay,
Guess I am still looking then. I saw that diagram in my 1945 to 1969 repair manual but questioned the motor windings and if it would work with the newer motor in the 8111.
Tks,
I don't think there would be any difference in the wiring of the 8111 2 position e-unit from any other loco, old or new, with a similar arrangement. The field assembly still needs 2 sets of windings, and the e-unit would work the same way as older units. Wire it up and give it a try for a second or two in each position to confirm proper operation and wiring.

I got the motor truck assembly and it was a direct replacement for the old one, I wired it like it shows in the 1945 to 1969 repain manual and it works just fine.
Thanks guys!
Most 8111's had a manual reverse, but the two position reverse is the same diagram electrically.

Thanks Rob,
I added the two position reversing unit. But the motor quit so i thought I did something wrong. But now with the new motor truck Assembly it is working fine.
