Unconfirmed RW Variation????????
Posted by Lehigh Valley 2089 on Friday, August 3, 2012 10:05 PM

I have come to posses an RW Trainmaster controller that isn't like a standard variation of the RW.

It has a red whistle button and a black direction button.

I don't know if it is an original that has had a bad restoration at some point, a fake, or a variation that is so rare it hasn't been confirmed.

I thankfully paid nothing for it, so I didn't waste any money.

It is a Multi-control Trainmaster 110 RW Watt 115 volts and 60 cycles.

The Lehigh Valley Railroad, the Route of the Black Diamond Express, John Wilkes and Maple Leaf.

Looking at the service manual illustration:

It would appear the buttons are identical except for the color.  I'm guessing, for whatever reason, at some point the buttons got swapped.
