I have two F3s-one is a two vertical motor unit (8851) and one is a single vertical motored unit. What is the correct part numbers for the motor brushes and springs?
I see no clear reason why I should grow up...
call Jeff Kane at the train tender www.ttender.com he will have part numbers parts ect or call the train doctor www.traindoctor.com both will be able to tell you. Now remember your single engine one is believed to be a conversion that someone did as that one didn't come with a engine it was a dummy unit. ( if were talking about the set you just picked up

Exactly-I have no idea what number it was originally-all I know is that it is a single vertical motored F3 chassis. It is a later model motor with the white plastic hexagonal brush plate. I took it apart and it has the round D-cell battery casting in the floor of the frame, but it is solid-there is no removable battery door or horn. Upon taking it apart I found what is certainly a significant factor in it poor running performance-a levered E-unit bouncing around loose inside the chassis! Looks like a pieced together from spare parts unit, all right-casting number on the frame is 2243-38-same as the other one, but the other does not have the D-cell battery casting.
622-121 brush or 600-8040-150, spring 622-191 or you can use 610-8507-150 shunted brush
