If you wonder what some of the Lionel animated and operating cars look like when they operate, I have made several videos showing all the action.

 Lionel modern era Oil Drum Loader 22997 based on an American Flyer postwar origional. The Automatic Dump Car 3469 was produced by Lionel from 1949-1955.

a friend of mine used to run about 10-12 of those old school giraffe cars as a unit train.  what a riot it was watching them doing the 'wave' as they bobbed up and down in unison over a long straight section.

growing up in NJ and visiting both the Bronx (3376/86) and Turtleback (7913) zoos occasionally, interesting that i wound up in San Diego (7904) able to complete the Lionel hat trick.
