I just picked up a Greenberg's Repair manual printed in 1978. I've been thinking to get the current one titled the Seventh Edition. Does that one have newer information or are all they pretty much the same.?
There are some changes but I couldn't tell you what as I have the 6th eddition I think ( have to find it ) but its a good book to have if you have postwar trains.

Yea it looks like the edition I got is the first and I was wondering if more info or detail was added in later editions.
I have an Aorotech, Greenberg and a Lionel, with a diesel on its cover. They, all have much of the same info., but then again, they have some more, other info. from one another.
Basically, the three that I have are really not complete!
Lionel's reprinted, complete service manual, for the most part, has it all, but the price is outrageous!!!
My friend has a Lionel repro. and he paid close to $600.00, a few years ago!!!!!!!!

I have both the Aurotec reprint, and an original factory manual. I find that I rarely need to go beyond the Aurotec book. It seems that the main difference is whether one wants to look at obsolete pages or parts lists. Below is a link to the web page of an outfit that offers a digital copy of the manual. I do not own it, and don't know how complete it is. I do own a couple of their other digital collections and like them.

Yea I found that website not too long ago. From what I gather, they are as complete as complete can get and I've been thinkiing to pick one up.
I saw an Aurotec recently on ebay go for $12 and change. I was thinking ti pick it up but I already have the K Line version and I thought I would just be getting a duplicate.
