Williams by Bachmann E7 stuck in one direction?

New out of the box using Lionel TMCC the engine reversed maybe three times then locked into one direction. Is there a troubleshooting method or should I send it back to Train World? Thanks.

The suggestion I have is to take your Williams engine out of the TMCC equipped track area and try using it with just a transformer going to the track itself. Also try using your Williams engine with an older Lionel transformer, something other than the CW-80; as this transformer(the CW-80) may not shut-down all the way and don't allow the circuit board to re-set itself. If you have a digital voltmeter make sure your track power is all the way off, even a tenth of a volt may effect a circuit board.
