Haven't posted in awhile.. Taking some short video's with my phone. less then a minute prior to takedown. A bit late , but was having some issues with uploading etc the first time.
Here is the first.. Hirailing the blue comet (Lionel tinplate by MTH) running DCS). This is a fun train to run. The favorite is the Hiawatha. With Blue comet rolling stock the couplers have activated over some switches. Found that runnign at 18 scale miles or greater prettty much eliminated issue. Use Atlas track and switchers here.

I had a great Memorial Day weekend up in Wells Maine
Heres a Pan Am freight waiting for clearence at the Wells train station
I also visited the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad in Portland Maine. Thats a GE 23 tonner pulling the train

Thanks Spankybird for the tin plate pics and video, there is just something very special about tin plate and it's simple beauty. I have one tin plate train that I bring out for Christmas for the base of one of our Christmas trees, that one gets set up first -- it is my favorite.

Thanks Bill I don't have any trains that are red white and blue persay but I think of many of who I call my brothers and sisters this time of year and a few other times. I'm very fortunate to be able to normally serve these brothers and sisters on a regular bases as I feed patients as most of you know at the V.A. Medical center as my job. It personally helps me also ( mentally( and boy do I need it)
I had put a small switching yard together the other day but have since dismantled it to work on other things I was going to take pics and use that this weekend but forgot about it until I had all taken apart and the area all messed up.
