with even the smallest commercial airliners rivaling the length of the largest articulated locomotives not to mention the minimum parallel runway spacing needing >10x the distance of passing tracks, i think i'll stick with trains in the ¼" scales.

working for the Navy, i often saw their 1:48 scale brass ships used to configure antenna arrays.  seeing those model aircraft carriers @ >20' long, i was even more convinced i was in the right hobby.

If I had an airport on my layout there would have to be a UFO surrounded by lots of military people and weapons.

i saw this a while ago in a hobby store and had to smile at a 1:48 scale craft of something nobody has ever seen.  ...what some people will buy.
