Sorry for your loss. I can relate because I'm a grandfather and look forward to introducing my grandkids to modelrailroading.
billbarman This photo is dedicated to my Grandpa Joseph Forge who passed away in the early morning hours of last friday. I can honestly say its because of him I enjoy this great hobby today. When I was 3 years old he would help me set up this very american flyer train set, the same one he played with as a boy back in the 1930s, on the living room floor of his house and enjoy running the trains with me for hours. I learned almost everything I know about trains from him. from wiring my first track lock on, to replacing brushes and motors in accessories. over the years he added many pieces to my collection but this American Flyer set means the most to me as it now is the most prominant reminder of him I have left. He was a great man and let him rest in peace.

Hi! Happy Sunday!
My condolences on your loss, Bill.
Here's a pic of something he'd probably be familar with, spotted at an NYC flea market by a chum of mine yesterday (5/5/12):
No idea as to price; he decided discretion was the better part of valor and didn't ask. ;-)
