I do have a GP-20 frame with a pulmor motor on it that your shell would fit on ( I have tried it out and changed my mind.) its blue in color so could go with your present cab fine. Yes I know your frame is probably black but have seen them blue also. if interested shoot me a pm thru the forum.

Is your engine dark blue in color, with one motor ?

I ask as there was an Alaska set marketed in the late 90's, with a dark blue, single motored, GP-7.

The pulling power of this engine with it's single can motor is minimal, so the gears may have stripped

trying to pull more than it can.

You may want to shop for 2 powered trucks to replace the current powered, and dummy truck.

Problems with Lionel Alaska GP-7

My Alaska GP-7 hardly used quit running as the gears on the motors became loose and the gears that the motor gears mesh with seem stripped. Is there another truck I can replace these with, or should I salvage the engine's electronics and find an engine to stick them into? I do not know too much about the new Lionel, but I like the sound system.
