Based on given info, this may be it:

http://www.legacykline.com/apps/kl/catalog.html?useraction=road&p_road_name=Santa+Fe&p_oem_sku=K-25301

If it is similar to the B&O set that I have from the same time period all the electronics were mounted in the lead A unit and the trailing B & A units were tethered to it. Another way to verify is to check the motors, are they vertical mounts or are they horizontal truck mounted ?  If they are the same as mine the sounds are fantastic although with the truck mounted motors they tend to be a bit growly.

The number you give is the correct one, K-25301, I found it on the internet on a K line site.

It appears it is a 3 unit set in which all three are tethered together and work as a unit. It does have vertical motors.

I will most likely sell it on the internet to someone who needs it for parts or whatever.

Dave,

Can you post a picture of it?

Tks,

Found the number to be K 25301.

Above is a link to what it looks like.

I will probably sell this unit on line as it is tethered together with the other 2 units and they all work together.

I have a Lionel K line Santa Fe 302c  A unit only. It appears to run off of a B unit or the dummy A as there is a plug running out the back of the engine.

Anybody know the manufacturer part number to this loco? Possible date of manufacture?

I am trying to locate a parts list for this unit. Any place to find out about this? There seems to be little info around on this engine.
