Hi There
I am looking for fellow On30 train owners.
I am new to On30 Trains .
I have regular O gauge trains . Lionel & MTH
Thanks in advance
CHARTER MEMBER OF THE MILWAUKEE FALLEN FLAG MODEL TRAIN CLUB . I COLLECT HO, N , O-3rail & On30 Trains & run them ! I Use KATO HO & N scale Track . I also Use Lionel Fast Track ! I change track layouts Often !
I was introduced to On30 when I received one of those Hawthorne Village sets as a gift. Primarily it's been used on our seasonal layout with the Christmas village. I even completed the construction of a couple of On30 modules with a view towards assembling a future layout, assuming I ever get a house with a large enough basement. But for now the future Flyer layout takes priority.
I've noted that Narrow Guage of any scale doesn't get a lot of attention in either the CTT or the MR forums.
I have figured out what is wrong with my brain! On the left side nothing works right, and on the right side there is nothing left!
I have one little Forney (Pocahontas Lumber Co.), 3 skeleton log cars and a B&O caboose. I'd love to use them more than the occasional use they get now.
Becky
Trains, trains, wonderful trains. The more you get, the more you toot!
My sister gave me the Royal Blue locomotive for my birthday years ago, not realizing it wouldn't really work on my layout - tunnels were too small. As luck would have it I found the complete set, unused, at an estate auction so I have two of the locos as well as the passenger cars. Since we moved I have been playing around with different track plans in both HO and "O", so I have run the ON30 from time to time. This past Christmas I had it set up around our extra Christmas tree. I don't have much use for it, but it is a pretty little train, and it works well, so I like to keep it around. I also had the Colorado Southern set, that I got pretty cheap from QVC, but I sold that a few years ago.
BTW - Having two Royal Blue locos came in handy. My then toddler son was running trains while I was at work one day, and I guess that ON30 loco was harder for his little hands to hold then the HO equipment, so down to the floor it went. Thankfully, it was the estate sale copy, not the gift from my sister. Still works, but lost some trim parts in the fall.

We see by your avatar that you like to live dangerously.

Hey, sharing my toys with my two boys is what it's all about. I'd much rather see them break something than not play with it at all. I was doing this stuff before we had them, but it's better now that they are here.
