Trains Magazines
Posted by servoguy on Thursday, March 15, 2012 8:27 PM

I have a large collection of Trains Magazine starting in 1946 and ending about 1980 that I would like to sell.  Is there a place on this forum or another forum where I can advertise it for sale?

I agree with you about people asking ridiculous prices.  I am willing to sell the Trains Magazines for any reasonable offer.  There is a guy on eBay who sells Lionel stuff, and his prices are way too high.  I am surprised he can sell anything.

Given the dvd of Trains from 1940 thru 2010 for $150 available from Kalmbach, there may not be much market for them.  I see old issues at train shows now for 50 cents to a 1 dollar - sometimes less.

Good luck

The magazines fall into the category of "too good to throw away, but not good enough to keep."  I may offer them on Craig's List for free.  I would like to get rid of them because I don't have any interesting in reading them.

You can list them on Amazon for free for as long as it takes to sell them and then take a fee when they sell.

I my know somebody who could be interested.
