Sir James nailed it, a dead battery can lead to all kinds of frustration. Whit I did with all my PS-1 locos was at the 5 year mark I replaced the battery with a BCR. The BCR's has been in these locos for around 10 years now and I have never had any issues, only way to go with the PS-1 locos.

YES, charge or replace the battery with a fully charged one.

MTH Train in Storage

Hello,

I recently purchased an MTH RTR set which was used and hadn't been run in several years.

I know it needs lube gear grease and light oil before I run it,  Do you think anything else needs to be done before I run it?

Thanks

Allan
